Although the Peatland Carbon Code is a valuable tool in the fight against climate change, it should not be seen as a substitute for broader policy change. In order to achieve a sustainable future, we need to adopt sweeping changes to the way we use natural resources and expand our efforts towards reducing carbon emissions.
